This morning, I had two things for brunch I haven’t had in donks! A cup on tea (I always drink coffee but we’d ran out) and pancakes. FYI, they were both delicious and just what I needed to put me in good stead for the rest of the day. I then had a bath, got dressed and put on my make-up.
This is a statement lipstick and then some. It’s a sexy red colour, not a true red though, there’s definitely some pink hidden in it somewhere. UNDERAGE RED retails for £17.00 online at Debenhams. I Love! Love! Love! this lipstick, but I would say that as I’m a red lipstick mega fan. I have been since I was 14, it was the only good decision I made as a teenager! Only joking, I may of made a couple more…..? UNDERAGE RED is so comfortable to wear and lasts on my lips for ages considering it’s NOT transfer proof. I Wore my bright, in your face, lippy to the chemist and I’d never felt more confident picking up my anti-depressants! I also went to the supermarket to pick up some essentials (coffee), then I came back home. I did some boring house work, ate tea, watched Bake Off and then read some of the book I’m currently reading.
My current book of choice is called You are a BADASS By Jen Sincero. This book has literally changed my life and I’m not exaggerating, It really helped me to find the confidence to start blogging again. This book is all about how to stop doubting yourself so you can live a better life, I can’t recommend this book enough. My self esteem was probably at the lowest it had ever been, before I started reading it, and now….I’m strutting down the road on a Tuesday afternoon wearing one of the brightest lipsticks I own. OK, I never strutted but I wasn’t looking at my feet, which is what I would of done before. By midnight (my bedtime) It was time to take my make up off. I very rarely need to remove my lipstick by this time of night, as it’s usually worn off by then, unless it’s a liquid lipstick, but UNDERAGE RED was still on my lips. The colour definitely wasn’t as bold as when I first applied it but it wasn’t patchy, not in the slightest.
“We are all perfect in our own, magnificent, fucked-up ways. Laugh at yourself. Love yourself and others. Rejoice in the cosmic ridiculousness.”
I dedicate this post to my teenage self. You may have made some terrible life and fashion choices during the 90’s, but at least whilst you were making them you still managed to rock a killer red lip!
